Spain’s capital city is world renowned for its art, culture and food. While it may not have the tourist appeal and recognisable landmarks of Barcelona, Madrid more than makes up for it with its strong historical and cultural identity, great nightlife and friendly people. Its stylish bars, restaurants and collection of ultra-modern, trendy hotels also make Madrid a great city break destination. Here is a collection of ten of the best hotels in Madrid to suit all budgets..

What a pity, I visited Madrid before you publish this top-list. We stayed in a hotel forgot its name already, it was centrally located, but I it was so bad and it spoiled impression of Madrid.

I will be honest and say that most of these hotels are a little bit too sleek for my own taste, but I think the general environment of being in Spain will more then make up for that. Admittedly, I did find the Abalu Boutique Hotel to be rather cool though; and I would definitely go there out of any on this list. I like the idea of having a jacuzzi in the room, plus all the nice lights and so on; its just kind of cool!
